Ceramics & Pottery
I make functional wheel-thrown pottery. A large part of my inventory is made up of mugs, bowls, and vases, but I have a variety of other forms such as planters, chip'n'dips, and teapots. All of my work is largely inspired by nature, and that is often reflected in the glaze or texture of a piece. In particular, my signature pieces are "tree bark" mugs that look and feel like tree bark on the surface. Others have a landscape-like effect from the glaze.
I'm a potter based in Athens, GA. I've been practicing my craft for over 10 years. I started by taking a class at a local studio, and now I teach those same kind of classes at Good Dirt Clay Studio and OCAF. My favorite thing about pottery as a practice is that it’s a great way to build technical skills and a sense of mindfulness at the same time.
