Ceramics & Pottery
I make hand-built earthenware and stoneware pieces—both functional and decorative. Each piece represents my family and my story. I create platters, trays, mugs, bowls, trees, wall tiles, and more.
I'm Meghan Hudson, the maker behind h.made studio. I currently live and work in Athens, Georgia, though I call a little Northeast Georgia town in Franklin County home. My family has instilled in me a love of laughter, good food, stories, and things of the past. When I'm not making, I'm a mom, wife, teacher, reader, and pickleballer. My work has always centered on the places, people, and experiences that have shaped my story and sense of home. Whether it's a platter with the flower that bloomed by my aunt's kitchen window, a vase impressed with lace from my great grandmother, or serving pieces in accent colors inspired by family dinners, my work captures small, still frames of these moments. I began h.made studio in 2017 with handmade wall tiles depicting patterns from places I'd traveled. My process has since evolved into hand-built, slab ceramic pieces—both functional and decorative—that I hope become family heirlooms in your home. I hold a BFA in Art Education from the University of Georgia (2004) and an MFA in Art Education from Piedmont College (2009).
